My previous post of a few random pics taken from the bday celebrations and my trip to malaysia is incomplete bcos lousy blogger hanged. So well.. im really too lazy to upload pics..maybe i shall complete it wen i get really bored.
I was supposed to sign up for Arts Camp.. which starts tml but due to poor planning I dint manage to get anyone to go with me. I shud have asked Jac to fill up and pass me her forms before she went to HK so i cud register for her. Oh well... fated not to go ba? Lol anw i dun particularly lk games and camping overnight n seeing strangers. I think im becoming a Hermit crab lk Ms Doris Tam, whose birthday has just passed lk 50 mins ago! Lol HAPPY Birthday Doris! Altho u turned down our very kind offer to celebrate ur birthday with u. Lol. We still Love u kays! Hahaha
I've really been v anti social recently.. no more going out to meet this fren and that or anyth much.. and not in the mood to do so recently. Jus wanna coop up at home.. somehow.. Which is really weird cos im not much of a home potato. Anw I've just read finish the last 2 books of Harry Potter ( YES im VERY LAG i NOE) cos i never got down to reading them! Lol.. And I really dun understand WHYYY in the name of Merlin's Beard I DINT get down to reading them until NOW cos the books are SIMPLY MAGIC!!!
I gave me many many hours( at the slow rate i digest words) of reading pleasure( any idea how rare is that for me?? hahaha) and... *chokes* I have to admit that It really is better than watching Tv. Hongyi is gonna laugh at me if she ever reads this. LOL. I've always been baffled at her " Books are My Television" theory. But i guess i understand now cos I got totally absorbed into the story once i set my eyes on the book.. spent hours reading till 3am without realising so much time had passed. I felt lk i saw the scenes unfolding in my mind.. right in front of me.. as if I had been transported into their world! Hogwarts.. and everyth! Felt kinda sad that I finished reading the books alr. It's an irony.. the books made me want to continue reading, and not finish reading them. Cos once I finished reading them... that would be nothing more for me to read =( But yet i cudnt resist.. i jus had to find out what happened and so.. sigh. i've finished reading them alr. Well acty before i even read the books.. i alr Knew that Snape was the Half-blood prince and that He loved Lily Potter and he never betrayed Dumbledore. I also knew that Dumbledore's death was staged and that Fred Tonks Lupin and Hedwig died. Oh but i dint rmb that Dobby died. So sad. "Here lies Dobby, the Free Elf." Sob. I really liked Dobby.
Knowing stuff dint rob me of the pleasure of reading the book( tho i presume i wud have felt much more emotion after Dumbledore died and more surprise that Snape wasnt really evil..) cos there were still many things i dint noe! still Mysteries for my mind to unravel... like how they were gonna track down the rest of the hocruxes with so little clues.. and what exactly Dumbledore had planned before he died( i kinda doubted Dumbledore when reading the last book) just like Harry did. And the book got depressing and lonely and droney. The story seemed to go nowhere. especially during the parts after Ron left. Thankfully he returned soon and things started to look up! If not I really felt lk dropping the book.
Geesh i really feel lk typing a book analysis here now!!! Cos so many thought and feelings are flooding my mind as I reflect on the really wonderful story i've just read! Need to get another book to get my mind off Harry Potter soon!! It's flooding my BRAIN!! Lol.. i borrowed Star wars Triology from the library but its not an easy read cos alot of scientific and chim words i used (scanned thru the first few pages) and the Chronicles of Narnia series is smth i aim to finish reading before sch term starts too.. but i dun have the books at hand. Will need to borrow from someone! I noe my sec sch frens will be more than happy to lend me books. They've been trying to get me to like books for years!
