cos i have no mood to study @ all... or at least, i'm jus trying to evade from studying till my guilty conscience hits me hard enuf. hahah

Anw, this year's elections is lk how happening man!!

And srsly,
for the first time in my life, i acty CARE about the political situation in singapore. LOL..
and it's not just me, it seems lk alot of youths are becoming more and more aware of the situation in Singapore, and its seems like many people ARE NOT LIKING IT.

Just shared a note on FB, an argument against PAP written by a 21 year old, and it has already garnered like what, 1308 likes!!
Times are changing, who said Singaporean youths r politcally apathetic! I keep seeing posts on the political election all over FB... and such sentiments r spreading like wildfire.
Social media is one dangerous platform. Just look at Egypt. Govt is in trouble man if they dont change... srsly

Altho i dont really noe much abt politics in singapore, cos like i said i really nv used to care, but i'm starting to notice how the govt's policies affect my everyday life, thanks to the no. of foreign workers in Singapore, and now I really feel stronglyyyy that the govt shud wake up their ideas & start changing.

Maybe they have sound policies, maybe it's for the greater good, but STILL, convince us lah. Some things they do like raise the ministers pay to astronomical levels (like how many times more than OBAMA leh, can u believe it), and letting in sooooo many PRs, i really cannot accept. The policies may be sound, but one thing i really cant stand is that bcos of the burgeoning population, I am realllyyy hating public transport. How issit that it's always like peak hour every time of the day? Seems like a small issue compared to creating jobs blabla but still it's affecting our everyday lives. (or at least mine lol). Maybe bcos i dont SEE the JOBS it has created for ppl, but i only see how conjested the MRT is everyday. But anw, here's Lee Hsien Long's argument on bringing foreign workers to Singapore.

The policy sounds good, but i dont think they mentally prepared the people or did enuf to address transport/housing problems becos of these foreign workers v well. And not that i'm racist or discriminate against them but it's really uncomfortable to see sooo many strange n foreign ppl around. Makes me wonder if they really need to bring in SO MANY... and how stringent their selection criteria of foreign workers are, or are they just letting any tom dick and harry into the country. See the online citizen's argument against the PM's speech here. I thought that there was a quota on the no. of foreign workers that the companies can hire but according to the online citizen i was wrong??

Can u believeee the no. of foreign workers in singapore is lk almost 40% now?!?! Ok, if u tell me u need to bring in foreign workers to come and build houses, then go back home, or work in those low end jobs that Singaporeans don wanna do, thats fine. But for service industry oso?? Really got no singaporeans wanna work in service industry like MBS meh? R u kidding me. And srsly, 40% of the jobs in Singapore need to be filled by these foreign workers? REALLY? And do we really want to venture into the labour-intensive manufacturing industry wen that was what Singapore wanted to move out from in the first place, into a knowledge-based society?? ( from what I still rmb in my social studies textbook)
Apparently in the article they argue that the manufacturing sector is v impt blabla, but cant they outsource manufacturers and just leave the HQs in Singapore or smth? Is it really necessary to be "made in singapore" as well? Isnt that what alot of companies do, altho of cos, it facilitates communication if ur manufacturing and HQ & stuff is all in the same country. I donno. But i'm not convinced. Telling me that we need this so our GDP will grow is not enuf.

Second thing I'm not convinced about is the ministers' pay. Like many other ppl in Singapore, I think we are all not convinced. You can argue however you want man, but it's not gonna convince people. So, why dont u do smth about it instead of trying to justify it, or being assertive about it. It's not working. Ppl are not so blind nowadays. Apparently the govt says this is necessary, to attract quality people. Yea, right. I think it's just gg attract greedy people. And result in elitism. Srsly. Not that I'm against the ministers having a high pay, but to the current extent that they are receiving, it's just comes off as them trying to feed their greed?? Do they really need so much money. It's jus ridiculous.

Another thing that I dont like, is the controlled press in Singapore. Let's see how long the government can keep up with that, with the reign of the internet! And one of the reasons why i stopped watching Singapore shows (other than lacklustre storylines) is how I felt they were just infusing and driving the govt's messages in it. Like there was one period of time when almost all the dramas were just revolving around families. And that was about the time when the govt wanted to introduce 5 day work weeks to promote family time and stuff. I got so sick of it. And then halfway during the show, the actors will say things like "do you know smoking will lead to blablablala" then "oh really? I should go and get my health checked now!" -.- WAH, very lame leh. Srsly. I watch alr i was lk wth. Why must infuse the message until so.... fake.
And from the FB post, it seems like alot of issues are swept under the rug so we don't know about it. It kinda scares me, I know the Singapore government is autocratic, but I dint think it would be unscrupulous. The thing about operation coldstore ? Altho of cos i'm glad Singapore dint turn communist lah, but... xu yao zuo dao zhe yang ma. O.o makes me wonder if that's their policy until today. I really don like it that there is a lack of transparency, altho I mean of cos, it's normal for e govt to control its image, but there is a seriousss lack of transparency, and it's not fair that we dont know both sides of the story. Makes me get the feeling that the govt thinks that the average citizen are undiscerning, and that only they know best. I dont like it cos if this continues, it's gonna foster elitism among the ministers in Singapore & they're just gg dismiss e citizen's concerns.
Ok so maybeee they needed to control e press last time bcos Singapore was unstable and most of the population uneducated then, but srsly, I'm sure the population today knows better, and now e position of the govt is secure. Nobody refutes the great amount of contribution that the PAP has done to bring Singapore to what is today. But having sucha low level of transparency, communication and involvement of e citizens in the country's affairs is akin to treating Singaporeans like a "baby". Just like parenting, being autocratic and dictatorial is not gonna work for young adults anymore. I really think majority of the Singapore population are sensible people, and being unable to treat us as sensible adults is really quite an insult, and if ure doing sucha good job, then why do u need to be afraid and have to control your image and the media with such a tight fist? Just makes me feel that there r alot of things that they are afraid will come to light. And also it's quite insulting cos doing so just seems like they have such a low level of trust in Singaporeans and think that we are an ungrateful population which will change sides easily over some unhappiness, so they dont dare to divulge information.

With this said, I'm not dismissing that the govt is effective or efficient. Even with the increase in GST, and the rising cost of living, I think I'm still living a reasonably comfortable life, so I'm not complaining. Yet. But as mentioned above, some of the things they do, I'm not convinced. And I really dont like the lack of communication and transparency. I think they need better PR, and need to change their "parenting" style.

So maybe voting for the opposition will knock some sense into them. Lol. But with the 1308 likes on FB & strong opposition this year, scully everyone think like me, and thinks tt everyone else is voting for the PAP anw so they wont be ousted, and ends up they really get ousted!! That will be jialat. I don't hope that the PAP will be ousted, I just hope to break the monopoly for a more balanced and transparent govt! Not sure if voting for the opposition will help with that, or just make the government scattered and divided. And scully the opposition is even more autocratic. Who knows?

My dad say better vote for PAP this year cos of the strong opposition. LOL. I think most of us altho we voice out many unhappiness but at the end of the day we dont want to see PAP go. Just to make them less complacent and wake up their idea!

anw so decided to blog about random thoughts to relieve boredom!

Qi said that he's gg apply to SIM for finance and banking... reason? Cos he claims to LOVE money & be obssessed about it.

Seriously I think he saysay only. I think the most money grubbing thing i've ever seen him do was in sec school, when he went around class collecting ten cents from everybody (why everybody so guai guai give him i really wonder) and then use the money to pay for his recess.

SO JIAN RITE!! hahaha.. ten cents frm everyone about $4 alr and he don even needa fork out a cent. Ok tt was really q funny so i rmb up till now.. LOL

Other than that I've never seen him behave lk money is super impt or what... lk find means n ways to cut costs or smth... usually he's too lazy to do so...like he rather spend on petrol and parking than take public transport..(yay for me) hahaha... sooo i donno why he claims to love money either!

But anw it just made me think about what was important in life... money, or doing what you like?
To me.. doing what you like is most important.. and i think in the end it'll help you make money too.. even if u don't see it as a real profession or think u cant earn much outta it in the beginning! Eg. baking donuts or smth... in the end if you bake damnn well then ull get famous and the money you earn can feed you for the rest of your life!! lol...

but really, it beats thinking that "this job can get me a good income", and then not liking what you do. In the end you'll never excel or be good at it cos you don't have enough passion to perservere in the area, and you'll jus end up with a normal income and a boring lifeeee! Which is the story of many ppl who become auditors.......

Having a passion is really important, cos while researching for projects I read a few success stories, on how they successfully created a money-making business through perservance
and passion! And yeaa i think it's true, if you really like what you're doing, it will help you perservere even through tough times and there'll be a breakthrough someday.

Which brings me to another point, which is that it really sucks when you donno what you like or are good at.

Or it sucks to be above average for some things but never exceptionally good at something.

I think it's better to suck at everything else and just be damn good at one thing!! isnt it? then you will know that this is IT for your life! dont need to think and wonder so hard.... SIGH
but then again if the society's set of valued skills is not your set, den you will become unable to adapt and be extinct...

But with that said I'm not saying my life sucks.. lol
just saying i wish i knew what i wanted in life

Then again, I'm q comforted to know that actually there are alot of ppl who still dont really know what they want to do in future.. i guess it's not just me!

But as of now my choices are:
1) PR
2) Freelance designer!! Hahaha ok less probable, but i really enjoy designing, just that i dont have the technical skills and qualifications or portfolio and am behind many other poly students....and its really.. easier said than done! where to find the business right? hahaha
but i really think it'd be damn cool if i can jus do freelance, cos i hate 9-5 jobs, admin work, and imagine in the future if i have kids then i can still do work even from home!!! How awesomee?? hahaha

I really think the singapore education system doesnt prepare ppl for the workforce. AT ALL. Doesn't even give ppl a good idea of the kind of jobs out there so people dont even know what they want to be in the future.

Maybe that's why so many ppl are becoming teachers nowadays. No offence to teachers & teachers-to-be! But it's the kinda job which i'll consider only when:

1) I dont know what i want in life
2) I'm not confident tt my skills set will help me survive in the real world, so i need a safe haven
3) I don't think i'm much good in anything else
4) I'm not sure if i can handle other jobs outside, and teaching seems the most safe and familiar thing to me

But that said, it's not like i totally wudnt consider teaching! I think its a stable job, it's more fun to interact with students than have a boring office job, and i think its less stressful to work for the government than for independent businesses. Besides, singapore is hiring teachers like crazy so it's easier to get a job!!

Ok i'm tired after rambling.. time to start working on my assignment and go to sleep -.-

SPRING CLEANING '11

Dad made us do Spring cleaning this week!

It's really a bother to pack and clean stuff!
Growing up with maid like 18 years of my life... i think ive been pretty spoilt.. and yeaa tts not really a good thing!
But gone are the daysss!! Now have to organize and clean my own stuff year after year... Hahaha...
Boohoo... but good training.. LOL... i'm not complaining! Time to grow up!

Dreaded starting out on it at first... sorting through and throwing out all the junk and then cleaning all the dusty cupboards is really no fun..... but got a real sense of satisfaction after seeing everyth so neat and clean at the end =D

Ehh.. it looks cluttered cos it's really FULL with albums and books hahah but it's so much neater and more organized now actually hor.. HAHAH

My table... which Deb has taken over cos I never use it... And somehow my table collects ALOT of DUST. I donno how deb sits there all day!

And I have 10 million cosmetics stuffs on my table.. moisturizers, perfumes, samples, hair treatment stuff, I dont even know what to do with them! Can't throw them either. Anybody want something?? I've got lots of chloe perfume samples... and face product samples oso... anybody??

And yea, I wore a MASK. Cos my nose is super sensitive to dust... i really bth... i will start sneezing and feeling sick!

This drawer is super precious cos it's filled with MEMORIES. Old diaries, cards that ppl gave me, school photos, my sketchbooks, everyth! And some random stuff I keep for art & craft lk ice cream sticks, ribbons, and used wrapping paper. Yea, i reuse wrapping paper! Comes in vv handy!

My electronics cupboard!! filled with random wires tt i don even know belong to where and what and how it even got in there! I still keep my favourite Nokia phone.. the one i used in JC... lots of precious smses.... i hope i can still on the phone!!

Was bored & decided to photoshop deb's fave photo of herself.. cos it's a really nice pic but the colours are so pale and dull...

Can u tell what I did??

1) SHARPENED THE PIC. It's so blurry....

2) Brighten and contrast the lighting in this pic. Made her skin look so much better!

3) Added a blusher for nice, glowing rosy pink cheeks!

4) Obviously, changed her lip colour. Compare her orginally pale and dry lips before & AFTER

5) Brightened the area under her eyes. The poor lighting made her eye area look really dull..

6) Added contrast & tweaked colour of her eye. The eye white looks brighter and her eyelashes look darker yes? Unfortunately, I don't know how to do fake lashes.. will end up looking.. really... fake.. lol

7) Added a rose. Matches her lip colour yea? Pink is so deb's colour! But it looks abit fake if you stare at it heh.. should have added a drop shadow..

8) Added abit of vignetting.. see the black blurry areas around the edges? hahah.. i noticed that it makes photos look really good cos it helps bring out a focal point in the pic.. but her face is too big I couldnt do too much with it.. hahah. ANW i just figured out how to do it!

Hahah.. this is so fun.. like helping ppl put makeup.. except this i on photoshop. LOL. I dont know how to tweak body proportions yet eg. make eyes look bigger/nose smaller etc, but this is GOOD ENUF! Cos my baby's a pwetty girl~~ hahaha

For those who know, i've wanted to have wavy/curly hair for a longggg... LONGGG TIME.

And purple hair.

HAHAHA. But i nv got ard to doing eitherr!!

I went w deb to do our hair today... i was contemplating curling my hair FOR REAL... but dint curl in the end!

Cos e hairdresser said my hair was too layered and too dry!!

My hair and my skin is always too dry! I so cannot survive in cold countries.

Anw he advised me to do a basic cut and cut my hair shorter cos of all the uneven layers, and do more treatment on my hair -.- RAH.

So there goes 1-2 years of not cutting my hair!! As in.. I did visit hairdressers once in a blue moon but i told them not to cut the length of my hair for a longg longgg time!

Maybe that's how my hair got so horribly layereddd!! Cos all e hairdressers say my hair is thick n they layer my hair lk crazy until its in a horrible state -.- And i keep changing hairdressers cos i cant find one i like. No good no good. My hair suxxxx!

) The haircuts cost lk $48 each! Pricey i noe... but seriously if u go to $10 places like QB house ull get shitty haircuts and overlayered messed up hair like mine!!

So its worth the money.. n i HARDLy cut my hair anw... and he said his haircut will last abt 3-6 mts!! The good thing abt the hairstylist (Von- i think he's e director there) is tt he doesnt try to cheat u of ur money n he'll tell u wats best for you. Like when i asked him abt perming my hair, he immediately advised me against it. If it were at other salons, i think they'd advise u to do PERM + TREATMENT and cheat u of ur money. I was jus reading xiaxue's blog...

and she was blogging about how some Singaporean guys really suckkkk!

Cos there was this loser guy who questioned her fame and critiscized her, and then he recommended other blogs to go to.
And u can guess what type of sites la.. like Dawn yang Xuesha's blog etc and porn sites even!!

Lk some se pekpek loser la omgosh.

Then xiaxue was also discussing about loser guys who go ard boasting to other guy frens about their sexual experience! (but i noe some guy frens hu r guilty of that too) Acty, it really is a pretty bad thing to do. Maybe it's jus considered 'guy talk' to guys.. but can u imagine how humiliating it is for e girl.. tt ure sharing ur intimate story with lk other ppl?? Sex is supposed to be between u n the one u love, and the experience shudnt be used for u to go n boost ur ego or for casual talk with ur frens.

In xiaxue's words, this is what Singaporean men want " a demure, unopinionated girl with big boobs ( must be pretty with conventional long black hair and big eyes)who are really horny."

Hmm... O.o.. quite true hor.. HAHAHA...as in.. for those loser type of guys la.. la..altho its true most singaporean guys like demure girls with long hair that are not as smart/zai as em! RITE! Anw i just hate this kind of thing... lk.. sucks laa! Fat then get bullied wth! And maybe the 'rating system' is lk jus for fun to guys.. (why girls don do ah) but i think its kinda mean and demeaning to put a girl on a SCALE like some object n measure her attractiveness. Just say CHIO or NOT CHIO LA. What the hell got points sommore. Like that's all the worth they attach to a girl.. 3/10 or what. And guys will also be damnnn specific in judging girls!! Mouth too big lah big tummy fat legs whatever. And some will be damn insensitive n tease a girl about their flaws.

And i really hate it wen guys/anybody at all does that. LIKE SERIOUSLY dont go around being insensitive n hurting ppls feelings la. People got tummy flab so what. Dont have to go around n HAHA ur tummy bigger than mine or what.

And seriously girls are damnnn conscious about their looks one. Commenting about someone's looks is taken veryveryyy personally to girls, but guys talk and tease about it so casually like girls dont have feelings sometimes.

Girls have very thin-skin. And are super sensitive wen it comes to their looks.

I had a horrendously difficult time shopping for costumes with my girl group for e concert.
They are all like SUPER SLIM, but they keep complaining about fats here n there so cannot wear this n that.. i nearly wanted to faint.
I think girls nowadays will scream at every 0.01 inch of fat put on.
And i can't stand it when deb asks me almost everday if she put on weight. -.- She will keep coming n whining to me.. 'i look fatter hor.. look fatter hor'

And the guys will oso notice n tease a gal for every 0.01 inch of fat a girl puts on.

Maybe guys dont mean it in a bad way n tease guy frens about their looks all e time (like how ziqi they all always say sam is fat) but really hor.. you cant do that to girls. FAT is like TABOO word.. and taken as a serious, personal insult. So guys pls dont joke n tease about that.

I cant stand what girls are putting themselves through nowadays, and i cant stand it that the guys arent exactly helping either, with all the rating system n ceaseless teasing for every inch of fat!

And i cant exactly blame girls for being so self-conscious, cos the fact is ppl are getting really judgemental and critical nowadays!

I used to be teased for being fat in my fatter days also. I oso donno why i grew fatter during my jc days even with PE! But it wasnt so bad.. im lucky to have alot frens (and boyfren) who are non judgemental or who are simply blind to my fats!

Like in JC wen Ziqi was chasing me then, i was pretty plump. But he NEVER said to me tt i was fat. HAHAH.. but he told deb im 'abit plump'. Cos deb was complaining about being fat or smth i think den he said I WAS PLUMPER. HAHAHA im not offended la. I think it's sweet that he knows im plump but he loves me anw, and was considerate enuf not to tell me!! Not tt i dint alr noe was i fat rite. hahaha.. n he tells me im beautiful.. even back then wen i was fat. Love is blind rite! Hahah but anw my point is, u shud jus accept ppl n see their beauty n not be an inconsiderate immature ungentlemanly jackass and point out ppls flaws!

Dont say theres nth wrong in being perfectly honest.

I mean, u dont have to SAY a girl is fat even if its the truth rite. Unless u guys are such losers and have nth better to say and have no better ways of making a conversation with a girl other than telling her she's fat.

And dont say ure giving constructive critiscism. Like girls dont alr think they're fat n are not trying hard enuf to be skinny.

(ps: this post was not inspired by any specific personal experiences. I'm writing this cos i cant stand the skinny culture nowadays, n cant stand that even I myself am caught in it and have to be pressured to feel ugly n disgusted at myself for every gram of weight put on, and have to be stuck ard other skinnier girls who think they're fat,and have to feel worthless wen ppl comment that im fat!)

Anw, the trip was alright. Except the first few days wen traffic and weather sucked.
Dint get to sit rides at the theme park cos it was raining... n it was crazy cold bcos of rain and wind! Colder than expected... and im reallyy afraid of cold.. like deb can make do with jus wearing a long sleeve super thin chiffon top while i had to wear a blouse, my sweater, and a thick jacket and still FREEZE.

Really cant stand cold weather... n my skin was dying.. cracking.. peeling on my face sommore!! I put face moisturizer in the day and night but lk still no use..
Horrendous...

And bcos of the often glaring sun and strong wind plus rainy weather, most of our pics dint turn out nice!! Cos my face fail. HAHAH.. hair fail oso.. the wind is crazy luh!

Did some shopping xp Hahah donno why had this impulse to spenddd!! shucks... hahaha...but all their stuff is made in Korea, and they got really cute tees u dont see in singapore! So we got some new clothes.. n a whole stack of facial masks!! Cos apparently the Faceshop and cosmetics over there is alot cheaper...lk 3-4 times cheaper... so bought some stuffs.. Bb cream oso.. hahah.

Eh and seriously virtually all e korean women look lk they have nice n fair skin! And it looks natural sommore!! So must try rite their cosmetics.. hahah bought bb cream to try.. but deb says my old foundation suits my skin better! Oh well..

Donno why in other countries the girls have superb make up skills.. like they can put fake eyelash n whatnot n still look v natural! Like in Taiwan oso.

And the guys in Korea are like really tall... like average 1.75m n above i think! Most men r really tall...

And Koreans love saunas and it's like so natural for them to see other ppl naked too!! LIKE.. EEW?? Cos their saunas have to strip one! As in separate guys and girls sauna. But still v weird. And they walk ard the changing rooms naked too. It was damn weird to us luh... so we don dare go sauna.. only went the swimming pool.

But i think q interesting to learn abt their culture.. n i acty like the food!

I've been sooo neurotic & terribly obssessed with getting business & publicity for the blogshop >.<

Really lei im jus sooo anxious and yeaa i guess i was too overly optimistic to begin with :(

And it's jus been a baddd period... everyth i planned is jus not gg well... :(

Internships for one...

The interviewer for sph jus made me feel damn stressed n lk she condemned me for not having a portfolio n dont even plan to hire me cos of tt in e first place.

I think i jus suck at interviews luh... im super.. not eloquent! And i cant thick skin tok kok n bs my way thru :((

I guess cos Sph v big n 'prestigious' so alot of interns from everywhr applying oso.. den she even say what in the Media industry no portfolio cannot get u anywhere... even polytechnic students got good portfolio blabla.

Then say some show what food blogs... to show their passion for writing.. may not be good but at least shows their passion. *shrugs*

But ya lor.. i oso nv tot of becoming journalist.. jus see it as possibility onli ma.. but i guess internships are not for u to explore possibilities.. they kinda expect u to know what u wanna do alr.. got passion n experience in tt area alr.. So scary.

I turned Savant degrees down alr.. altho i lk the company.. but dont think i can survive in a environment filled with guysss.. n reading HTML CODE n CSS... n don think they'll hire me oso luh cos i zero knowledge!!

Ya lor anw.. this whole internship thing.. altho i dint get it.. which may not be a bad thing... led me to start rethinking what I really wanna do.. and make me feel the need to explore more areas... gain more experience...

I really donno what i wanna do for a job....
As u all noe im currently seeking internships now rite...

i had 3 choices:
1. Advertising-

job scope seems quite good... like tagging along for client servicing and then giving ideas for adverts. but e boss lk some old man trying to be hip one.. hahahah ... vibes about e company are so-so onli. I didnt get it anw! So it's outtttttt

2. SPH magazines-
i think i passed e written test cos they just called me for an interview today. Job scope seems q ok... altho i never imagined myself doing journalism... i dont mind.. seems q fun.. but its super ulu luh & located in e midst of some industrial estates. I will die from travelling... & from e gloomy stifling environment! Going down for e interview nevertheless... jus to see how lor...

3. Savant degrees-
Jus went down for interview today.. this job was acty my LAST choice.. cos i tot i was gg be doing admin work? It's a web design company btw... and i've never touched html and css b4 to save my life! So ya i was totally uninterested in e job scope initially... but wen i went down to the place, i really like e environment! It's small and cosy & the female interviewer v nice n understanding and den they got lk TV, movie cds, guitars, toys and keyboard!! Like damn cool eh! Nice cosy corner for relaxing and play.. seems lk e culture there is not bad... unfortunately.. it is a WEB DESIGN company.

Finally finished with the children's storybook!!

Still not v satisfied yet acty.. but tt stupid timothy.. tell him do this- NO.. do that- NO... kns...everyth lazy to do jus wanna faster get it over n done with.. Ok lor..too bad..but anw too pressed for time alr... >.<

Tim n me basically did 80% of all the work ok...
seriously....

one project member computer cannot support the software.. but at least got do other work like write the script and will try to help.. the other one... say will do but then whole day go training.. do work then come out lk.. *sai* Her only contribution was to ask her aunt to help us print... so is lk we do all the work.. n den she just take the final product only!! Zzz.. sucks lor...this proj i really feel me n tim super.. damn.. chi kui....

Then me n tim got alot of opinion clash.. n he super AP one lor.. not open to suggestions.. just want to take the easy way out!! dont bother to refine until nicenice...

but he handle all the technical stuff.. THANK GOD.. hahaha so me n him sort of complement.. lol.. its lk a factory at home man! I sketch, pass to him, he trace and scan and do the stuff on software. LOL.. n the software is a horror to use.. do things v hard to control and tideous..

then very limited cos your lines must be super neat and clean and smooth and nice if not ull get a whole lot of problems!! So my pencil sketch turns out abit different after tracing.. like he make them look like single eyelid and no eyelashes!! Some i went to darken the marker so look like got lashes.. but some he scanned alr so very ma fan to change.. oh well..

anw heres the final product.. i dont have the font in my computer so its the wrong font btw..

And then i donno how to make the carriage look lk a carriage...grr.. this is so my little pony cutesy la lol!

The discrimination and psychological torture that these people faced.. just because they were considered FAT.

And seriously... society is THIS cruel.. nowadays... Boys will laugh at you when ure fat...
acty not just boys... ppl will critiscize you... tell u what u cant wear... n u feel like ure not pretty enuf to wear pretty clothes.

Hahaha eh i was fat okayyyee!! In JC... n i wasnt lk SUPER fat more lk plump...(my dear sec sch frens wun rmb bcos u hardly saw me in jc hahaha) but even then, ppl will make me feel like i look lk a monster!! And whenever ppl said i look fat, thoughts of like starving myself will like flash through my mind.... n then i will think like 'I'm gonna do watever it takes to become DAMN SKINNY'

but i usually get over those thoughts very quick la hahaha. thankfully.
I dint do anyth on purpose to lose weight!! But one very good tip is to eat less carbo at night!!I used to eat heavy and late dinners in JC so grew fat despite PE. Now i dont exercise oso never put on weight lei..

but Seriously in society these days, u cant even afford to have an inch of fat if not.. ure FAT. people will just pick out every small flaw/inch of fat on you n say ure fat. Even if they're just commenting and not meaning as an insult, you will still feel super worthless and insulted because in todays' society terms- fat=uglyyyyy.

And GUYS are esp sensitive to fats.

And esp wen guys say ure fat, u feel damn worthless.
Ugly, undesirable... and watever negative emotion u can think of

Okay maybe its good that ppl are motivated to lose weight n keep fit, but i realli think that life will suck if u keep worrying about ur weight and restrain diet n force yourself to exercise etc. Unless u enjoy doing it.. of cos.. but not for me.... AHAHAH. Ask me dont eat... ask me go n run... i rather DIE!!!

I'm disturbed too! It's tiring to constantly worry about growing fat.
I still do.. even tho ppl say im not fat now.. i still feel fat sometimes. And i still worry sometimes lk if i snack too much then will get fat. And i still compare myself to lk other ppl n think im not skinny enough which makes me feel ugly and decrease my sense of self-worth.

Actually not just fats lor.. pimples oso.. any flaw ppl can pick out they will critiscize. As if i can control my OIL GLANDS... not as if washing my face twice a day with cleansing foam helps.. den wat else can i do Pfft! Go facial then new ones will keep popping out. Zzz. but my skin not so bad until have to see skin specialist luh.

Point is.... why cant society have a more realistic, healthy and accepting perspective of beauty??
Perspectives of fatness are really unhealthy nowadays.... SERIOUSLY... super unhealthy... if people like me, deborah, qihui and almost every girl NEVER thinks they are skinny enuf.

My postcard designs for New media assignment. NICE NICE NICE?? Looks quite simple horr.. but do on the software.. can DIEEE...... LOL... plus alot of experimenting then very time consuming... but i realli like doing this kind of stuff actually... like.. i really can concentrate very long... (unlike when studying...) and i feel a sense of satisfaction in doing it! (unlike studying to get it DONE n OVER with.. sloppy oso nvm.. just.. faster finish reading.. HAHAHA) But i'm still picking up the irritating softwareee... simple things hor... use the software to do then become very hard already.. LOL...acty cos i lousy la den blame software... AHAHAHA..

Actually doing design is very fun.....

why did i go uni....... hmmm......... i suck at studying. HAHAH... attention span super short...memory power low.. motivation low.. LOL... RARRR.. i find my motivation to do things i dont have particular interest in decreasing over the years!! technically we've been tgt for more than a yr acty, if we add the time before we broke up but its kinda confusing so we just stuck to e date wen he officially asked me... which is 14 feb.. uhh.. but bcos of CNY n his 21st bday we postpone to now. Eheh.

Spastic Qi! Anw we ate lk 7 course dinner for $30 per pax! Its v cheap considering tt it's 7 COURSE plus e FOOD is DAMN GOOD. And so was the Service. SUPERB!!

The waiter there automatic offer to help us take photo!! SEE! 5 star service!! They were very efficient n vigilant oso!

Pumpkin soup!! super nice luhh... abit remind me of MOS corn soup!! tts why i lk it~~ hehe

Mushroom soup! Their presentation v good oso.. diff bowls to suit the diff type of soup! Crazy huhh!

After tt we went to watch a play at NUS by Sheares hall. My reso fren was acting in it. Quite a funny play lah. N the cast was quite zai hahah overall v enjoyable performance.

Hahah.. i used to always feel the need to talk to ppl n i will feel lonely if i dun tok to ppl. Im kind of the type of person who doesnt lk being alone n cant stand being alone! I dont like the feeling of gg to school for school and then gg home straight after that. Makes me feel lk i super no life! Thus, i hate thursdays! Lect+tutorial alone cos lectures w tim=lectures alone -.- SERIOUSLY! He pang seh me to sit w his frens lo KNS. But watever laa not lk ill tok to him during lect oso HNG nth to say to him bleah! I guess mice are very social creatures hahah yeaa but recently i think im getting used to being alone or nt talking to ppl as much.

I feel quite sianned that i know (quite) alot of ppl in Uni but i dont really know any of them. As in.. not REAL frens.. but then again its really hard to make real frens cos everyones schedules jus keep changing n u dun really get to really hang out w any particular person much. Unless u happen to take alot of the same modules+ same tutorial. But even then other ppl have their own frens too. So i've always felt v insecure in uni cos in sec sch n jc, ill always have a clique, in class, in cca, n u just always hang out w the same ppl all e time ure in school! Yst i went to bed ard 2, n i cudnt fall asleep till 3... n i woke up at 8.45 so thats like less than 6hrs of sleep! And i went to school feeling like a zombie.. super tired sia!

Somehow at 2am it still feels too early to sleep... but then wen i have to wake up at 8/9am.. it feels like sleeping at 2 is TOO LATE a time to sleep at.

Yeapss.. have to stop all those late nights. Taking a toll on me.. (i said tt since before hols alr...) hahahaha

Finally the time has arrivedddd!!~ and has passed by sooo quickly >.<

Really thank God that everyth went well.. and response was BETTER than expected.. seriously.. this experience has not just been good.. it's been.. amazing! Maybe it was in His plan to help me grow. It just so happened that none of the soprano seniors were available.. and it just so happened that.. I was perhaps the only soprano available?? And just so nicely, my voice happens to blend very well with Sophie and we kind of feed off each other pretty well.. hahaha n it just so happens that the songs we sing were quite suitable for my voice n range. Other than the disgusting n extremely difficult Candyman yelling parts. Hahaha.

I still rmb how it all began! *gets all nostalgic* From the sms that charm lo sent to me. Initially i rejected the offer (scared not good enuf) but with a lil persuasion (and an ignorance of how big scale the performance actually was) i was roped into THE AKA VI GROUP.

And i'm SO GLAD I WAS.

This experience really transformed me.. helped me gain more confidence, and.. somehow overcome performance anxiety and really prove myself to the worldd!! Maybe it was the pills O.o~ hahah and i kind of stunned myself and other people too.. i mean.. i dint expect that i cud pull this off... but i did! And i dint expect other ppl to be so happy for me.. and i never.. dreamt that i wud be noticed n recognized. I dint think i was much good.. really... but somehow this was a really breakthrough performance for me..

1st Night-

My Group did really well! Felt good! Especially for Fallin. Lk Hen you FEEL~ hahaha quite steady oso for MJ Medley. Candyman was like.. CAN PASS VERY GOOD ALR LUH HAHAH! Apparently the mike balance was abit off so the chords dint come tgt n candyman is kinda chordy.

And after our performance on the first night, ET came jumping up to me and lk 'OH MY GAWDD XIAO NIAO( my reso nickname-little bird) I KNEW YOU CUD DO ITTT!!' And the rest of my group was v supportive oso la they will say lk ' ya la.. she damn zai rite!' So glad for my v supportive n encouraging reso ppl! Seriously i was vvv honoured n touched laa.. X') If i'm not wrong... i think it was ET tui jian wo to be in the AKA VI group. I'm like.. super touched that acty got ppl believe in me even wen i dint show much potential in the beginning!! *sobsniffssob* T.T

I totally dint expect to receive the kind of... OHMYGAWDDD reactions from ppl?? I was pretty stunned cos i felt i just sounded really noisy on my solo for Beat it. Really appreciate and treasure the compliments from everyone tho.. like.. the senior who arranged the Michael Jackson medley was really encouraging n told me that it was well done n i gave alot more power than she imagined. T.T And the founders of Reso oso said it was good but need to work on my body expressions. But still.. It's an extreme honour to receive any sort of compliments from them.. like.. SERIOUSLY! Never DARE to dream of tt. >.<>I never really had a problem for that short solo maybe cos it's in my power range.. which is.. all the high notes la.. easy for me to blast... But my grp members really pushed me alot too! Then i keep thinking i always too soft..cos ppl always complain i too soft n not coming out enuf... so i always BLAST to my MAXX... during practices lah.. until i oso think i damn noisy! hahaha.

And yeaa my group was v encouraging too.. lk throughout the course of our practices, sophie & charm will tell me wat im doing right n help me redeem abit of self-confidence.. n a little encouragement really goes a long way!!

During the last week of practice sophie said that my solo is lk finally coming thru n got attitude alr.. n den suddenly the whole group clap for me. Really v touched. *bows* >.<

2nd Night-

The second night wasnt as good tho haha.. ok la but i wasnt so steady as the first.. and dint feel as good.. i tink cos everyone lk abit tired from the first night. They all looked abit worn out. Except me. I was the only bright eyed one hahaha but cud feel throat getting abit worn out alr. During sound check everyone lk no energy den pitch keep going flat sumore. Abit sad sia! And Sat is the more important night cos full house lei!! HAHAH. But 2 days of performance no joke luhh.

And the speakers on stage was DAMN NOISY wen i sang beat it! Once i started singing i kena thrown off alr cos it was Blasting in my face! Dunno why they go n turn up my mike in the speaker!! wa lao eh. Kena shocked tio by my own noisy sound! HAHAHA. And i think i was still stiff on stage la cos apparently most of the ppl still thought that Sophie was the one doing Solo at first.. HAHAH.

Comments i received on 2nd night: Attention was first n foremost.. not on my singing.. but... MY UMBRELLA DANCE MOVES -.-

Cos instead of Candyman we sang Umbrella *thank goodness* hahaha den me n Sophie had to do these few moves/poses everytime we sang Ella~ Ella~ Ella~ eh eh eh~

First thing wen i saw ppl they will comment on my dance lo!! Altho im more happy w comments NOT about my dance moves.. it's still nice to be told i look sexy doing those moves ahaha!! only deb thinks i look lk a retard. humph.

During the practices my group keep telling me to do bigger and sharper actions... if not initially i do all the small small scaredscared actions and like nuanua one.. HAHAHA. Eh but the moves, or more like.. poses..is i ownself come up with one hor. With some great Diva advice from Sophie!

Thankfully still got ppl comment not just on my dance luh! Wen we perform finish n i was leaving the stage one of the stage helpers who ushered us in and out told me' wa u look so small but got such a big voice'. I was leaving the stage so dint have time to respond O.o And Gabriel told me that I matched up to sophie n charm all e way and that Really level up lk siao liaoo.. *thank you! THANK YOU!* :') Wei Lee said i dont sound like what i usually sound like. (yeayea i noee usually i only tweet like a little bird lo!)

But it all dint come easy okayyye. There were times i felt so freaked out i had thoughts of telling em i tink i cannot make it n withdraw.. times i felt so inadequate and small compared to the rest of the members whom have been thru Aca Champs (acapella competition) and fearful of pulling em down in the mud w me if i screwed up. i dint really publicize this event or tell alot of ppl abt the concert.. or really go n persuade ppl to go or wat... cos i was really afraid that i wud screw up.

Nevertheless, most of the time.. i really enjoyed practices.. i really liked the songs we were singing.. i really wanted to do well.. i really wanted to give it my best shot.. i really had fun with it, and it wasnt a chore at ALL, going for practices, or practising how to scream in my bathroom. HAHAH. Most of the time i felt acty i got the potential to do it one! It's more of the psychological barrier.. n fear of panic attack n last min crumbling.

And now i REGRET IT MAN. Shud have made more ppl come for the concert. HAHAHA.

And i now i cant help but emphasize how SAD n KE XI i feel that ppl lk YUNLIN, HONGYI, JACQ n QIHUI , SHERI all CUDNT MAKE IT/NEH COME for my concert despite my invitation. Humph none of u there to witness my first major performance! k la FINEEE i noe u all busy!! :((

Eh no laa but it's seriously a very good concert. The Acapella groups there are damn zai one n super enjoyable la. SO ITS just TOO BAD u all CUDNT COME HNG!

And my fave is AFTER SIX!

I jus love their jazzy songs n their chords are so tight n blending is lk perfectttt and from technicalities to the feel of the song everyth is just there la and waaa just damn super enjoy their peformance. So PROUD that they were from Resonance oso!

Yeaaa but making it thru AKA VI dint come effortlessly for me.... practising Candyman was a serious NERVE WRECKER... and i had to practice alot of Screamingg.. sheesh! Keep practising in my bathroom until deb laugh at me. And initially i got comments like 'too soft, not coming out, the way i sing too choir alr'. Now wenever i hear the word 'Choir' it feels lk an INSULT. Singing using a choir voice in Acapella is seriously... NOT a good thing. And i get stressed n nervous wenever i sing to ppl on mike. Even if just one person is sitting there.. i get damn stressed. During sound check just the day before the performance.. i acty got so nervous i went off tempo, off pitch, n my hands turned cold n clammy -.- Lk HOW LOSER right?? Sound check only lei not even actual performance!!

But surprisingly wen i went on stage on the actual thing i was hardly nervous!! I was in fact, enjoying myself luh! I took anxiety pills that Hanyang brought but i was still feeling tense n having butterflies in my stomach backstage. But once the song started, i felt totally in my element already. Weird huh! hahah but Thank God. I cudnt have pulled the concert off if i got hit with panic attacks!! Now for the peekturesss!!~ Whats left of the memories of AKA VI~ ((=

Happy New Year to all~

honestly the new year just feels like another day to me..

Anyways..
Church camp was great! Really~ the lessons were really enriching n helpful... and i got to talk to alot more people i nv really talked to before! Which is really nice... hopefully can maintain this kind of r/s so it wun be like jus the sunday Hi-bye kind of thing!(:
i dint stay for watchnight service.. sorry abt that... xp i almost did but... hahah oh well..

Partly it was because i really didn't feel like sharing. What could i say about my year? There are too many personal things involved.

For me, it was a really bad year. One which i felt empty, lost, lonely, disillusioned, but thankfully, never depressed.
I cannot elaborate because all these feelings stem from very personal experiences, which i really don't feel like telling anyone about. Or maybe it's also because i cannot pinpoint exactly why i felt what i did.

The feeling of emptiness was something that i experienced this year which i've never before... an emptiness i tried so hard to fill.. and ended up making things worse.. and an emptiness that made me disillusioned as to what God's will was for me..and as to whether he was providing for me. And as events unfolded i just completely gave up trying to seek God's will. Everything seemed futile.

It was a year whereby i felt insecure and unstable... like a floating vagrant.. trying hard to find my way but not finding it.. feeling lost and empty.. having many friends around but not being close to many.. or any... feeling out of place and like i dont belong anywhere... finding myself in awkward positions...

It was a year when friendships were lost..
people whom i was once very close with for awhile....
just left like that.

Looking back, i wondered if things wud have been any different if i knew where and when to draw the margins earlier.
Was it completely my fault that things turned out this way...
Did i make things turn out like that? Why didn't i do anything about it?

I dont know myself anymore.. why i felt what i was feeling.. whether i'm making excuses for myself that things were beyond my control.. that it isn't really my fault... or that i really didn't know..
or was i just plain selfish...

Ok i shall stop thinking about this year. It's getting really depressing :(
I cannot say what's past is past.. cos the past will still keep haunting me.. i know..
but i will work harder to have a better year.. with less mistakes made.. wiser choices.. wiser actions.. more discipline.. more margins made yes!

I cannot say that i'm back on track spiritually....
after a long time of neglect.. disillusionment..
humans are of little faith after all aren't we... when we dont see the results.. wen we're faced with setbacks..we start losing faith.. and i guess i'm just like that too.. but sometimes i guess i really needed abit of encouragement.. but i dint get that... and... ahh nevermind i dont want to elaborate.

i'm still abit disillusioned..
but i guess i will try...
to start getting back.... maybe i dint seek hard enough..

Hopefully in the year 2010, things will start looking up.. and back on track for me.. and hopefully ill be stronger, more resolved and alot wiser!

Anw jus abit of update abt my life... been catching lotsa movies... feng yun 2 (just a display of cgi effects pfft), Avatar.. which was wayyy nicer than i expected after seeing the trailer... n zombielanddd!!!

zomgggg why everyone was toking abt wanting to watch zombieland huh?? i dint realli noe much abt it but alot of ppl say they wanted to watch n qi oso wanted... so i tot shud be quite funny..acty we cud have watched ninja assasin but we decided to stick to zombieland.. and i almost wanted to run out of the theatre after 2 mins of the show!!

Seriously the movie had a really BAD... BADDDD intro... which was disgustingly freaky.. and much more freakishly disgutingly gory than Final destination!! The zombies are super disgusting can!! Their disgusting slimy tongues then the blood gushing from their mouth n they were ripping the flesh of humans *pukes* i really.. REALLY.. wanted to run out.. >.< but the rest of the movie wasnt that bad thank goodness. The next day, we wanted to watch Ninja assasin but.. it wasn't showing alr luh! -.- Siann.. i wud rather have watched Rain than zombies xp hahah but no matter~~

Oh n ive been super into this Korean drama that Deb introed called You're Beautiful!! I have no idea why its titled so cos it seems to have no relation whatsoever to the story lei. It's abt this girl hu dress up as her twin brother to become a member of this super popular boyband. Typical manga storyline... but... super entertaining!! like.. SUPERRR!! hahah the overall plot is typical but the details are not... its sooo amusing... and the cast is really good too! They are super likeable.. and they play their role really well.. plus they always looks good and have an impeccable sense of style!! 5 STARS!! ***** All ye bored people should go watchh!!

I'm sick n tired of having to balance everyone's expectations of me.

I'm already trying my best to balance things n spend time w everyone but seriously theres only ONE OF ME n theres only so much i can do.

I like to go out.. i like to spend time w ppl but seriously I'm VERY TIRED ALR. There hasnt been a DAY since holidays started wen i dint go out. And i'm exhausted!!

seriously... EXHAUSTED.

I'm so exhausted i acty WISH i can just stay at home n nua for a good few days... sleep the day away...

And it's not just now that i feel like that...
I was already v tired but still i try my best to keep to plans.. holidays already n my eye rings still growing!! i'm not kidding.. you also noticed rite!

Cant u understand that it's not tt i dun wanna go out w u... its just tt i'm really exhausted from everyth and that there are just some days where i just feel like resting.. n im already trying to be v compromising by agreeing to go out even tho i reallllyyy dont feel like it. So dont blame me if i look v reluctant to go out w you... it's not that i dont want to its just tt my body tells me i wanna sleep at home and i cant help it. -.- And u dont even have any concrete plans! U jus say u wanna go out.. dunno where.. dunno wat time oso! Of cos ill be unmotivated to go out n jus laze in bed until u come up with something right!! -.-

Expecting me to spend every living breathing moment of my free time with you is jus impossible..

FINALLY!!!~
I finished examsss! WHEE~ so right after my exams my family came to pick me up n we headed off to suntec for dinner~

They were camwhoring while waiting for me in the car

Suntec was.. like GHOST TOWN. Why so quiet sia... i mean weekday night oso dunnid to be so quiet baa.. O.o so weird seeing suntec empty... lol we ate at this teppanyaki place(not as good as the jurong pt one i ate with ziqi!) but quite ok la Tim loved the tenderloin steak! And he was skeptical abt that place at first heh!

First day after exams, i went shopping with deb at far east!! Heheh.. who other den my sissy to celebrate the beginning of my hols?? U better be touched deb! hahaha. Deb has been waiting a longlong time for me to finish exams n go out shopping with her LOL.

N guess what.. we got lost. We took a longgg bus ride there n got off at the wrong stop... we dropped at plaza sing n took mrt.. n dunno why sia we both damn kok went to take purple line wen we wanted to go Orchard -.- Then after we finally reached orchard... we realised we both forgot how to walk to Far east!!! hahah so deb called jermy for help n we finally found our way WHEE~ hahahah too long haven walked to far east?? :X

And YAY finally got there!! And first dress that caught my eye was a lace dress! Lace super In now sia i see it everywhere! Heehee and i like lace too! Got quite a few lacy n mesh top pieces in my wadrobe alr and no occasion to wear them!! Tried on this super body hugging (but v nice cut n fitting!) dress.. kinda like it but abit sexy ah hahah n no occasion to wear oso! So... zhi hao camwhore loo!!! hahahah

Then went to esplanade...

I'm vvvvv nervouss!!! and i get realli bad stage frights... like even during SOUND CHECK yst! My hands went COLD n i was rushing tempo n going off pitch. I tot i'd get back into mugging mode after a short while but looks like.. I'm not!

Some time ago my dad made us watch this christian video and I was quite inspired and comforted by something the speaker said.. which is that God gives us everything we need.

Think everyone of us has zi bei thoughts.. me included.. ahaha. I always end up thinking why i'm not born good enough... why not prettier.. smarter... better.. less blurrr.... more talented.. blablabla.. and then we compare ourselves with others... other people so pretty and smart.. and then I'm like................. CUIIII hahaha

Then I will think of what the speaker said - that God gives us everything we need.

God made me like that because that's all I need. I don't need to be any prettier, smarter or whatever to be happier. I don't need to be born any better to have people who appreciate and like me.

Contentment is the key(:

And I guess it's true. How can i complain about my life right now? I feel happy and blessed with everything and every person that God has placed in my life to brighten my day(: People who appreciate me for who I am in all my imperfectness.. (yea go ahead and laugh that i'm blur n short! and at my moles too!) and see qualities in me that.. i wouldn't even consider as qualities? Hahaha

Although I think I'll still never feel quite good enough about myself I think I'd suffice with being happy with my lot. Not chio nvm.. at least.. not uber uglyyy! Not smart nvm.. at least I got into NUS new media!!

Think i'm gonna fail intercultural communications.

Somehow i always have miscommunications with qi!
And then i get v pek chek wen he misunderstands wat i say/ reacts in the way i dont want him to react.

Actually intercultural communication is quite interesting and useful cos you can apply it into your everyday life!!

So after 1 sem of Nm2201 intercultural communications, i've concluded that I am a
-high context (not explicit with my feelings in words; implied meanings and context more impt that the actual words itself) and qi is more on the opposite side which is-low context.

So right, on a few occasions when i sent him short smses he thought that I don't feel lk talking to him!!
Then I'll get super pek chek cos thats TOTALLY not what i mean.. and i thought that it was very obvious through the tone of my message that I was happy to talk to him.
Like.. URGGHH why can't he GET IT??

And then we dao each other for a whole afternoon after that... cos he thinks i dun wanna talk to him... and i think he's just going cranky for no reason.

HAHAH i noe it sounds lk a damn petty issue to quarrel abt LOL. But seriously I was like.. how can you equate the number of words to my feelings?? -.-

Then again i should have been more understanding... but dunno why i was feeling too exasperated to reply him nicely.. so i replied- ' ??!!! '
HAHAHA.. which.. dint help matters at all. xp

And then many a time... cos he's very low context one.. he likes to settle issues in like the most direct way.. ie. call me. I know most guys like that one.. calling is faster n direct easier to settle stuff right! But.. i reallllyyyy DONT LIKE IT. I like to have my own space to collect my emotions and thoughts and carefully think through what i'm gonna say so indirect means of communication ie. sms/msn will be better to sort things out with me, cos over the phone my whole house can hear me and I cant' control my emotions once i start talking.

Like there was one time... I... *confess* forgot to submit my assignment.. and then they warned that late submissions=zero. Then i was super scared n depressed so I smsed him... I was on the verge of crying alr.. then he call me... then I *dont really express my emotions easily and don't like ppl to know tt i'm crying* so I picked up his call and -din't say a word.

Actually I wanted to say smth but my throat was so sore from holding back tears that I couldn't utter a sound!! HAHAH. Then that kok thought smth was wrong with my phone (haii...i tot you'd know me better than that..) and then he go and call deb! So she walked out of the room and EH JIE WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU.. QI's LOOKING FOR YOU!

I WAS LIKE NOOOO~~~ now everyone's gonna know what happened to me and i din't want deb to see me emoing!
So i burst out crying over the phone and announced to everyone that I forgot to submit my assignment and i'm getting a zero.
And then my parents were like WHAT how come can forget to submit! And then my dad was like mumblinggrumbling all the way...complain i whole day play too much blablabla which made me feel like x1000000 shittier than i was already feeling. SIGH!

HAHAH I'm not blaming you qi!! It's OK.. I still love you. HAHAH. I'm not upset already... especially since in the end.. i got 12.3/15 for the assignment!! SO SHOCKED wen i saw that mark on my gradebook!! Cos after the incident I went to plead with the lecturer and he was like so heartless say until he can't do anyth to help me and 'Carelessness already deserves penalty'. I really hope that mark on gradebook is FOR REAL. >.<

And then todayy~ I had some miscommunications with qi over sms, and then.. he..he thought that I was smsing another guy but accidentally sent to him instead!!

Brochure! looks simple but u have no ideaa how much blood n sweat goes into doing smth lk this lol. I shudnt have used so many photos la killed myself editing every single one pfft. Cos you have to tone n contrast blur pictures and save in the correct size and format n stuff. And had alot of problems squeezing everyth into the page :X I cut down alot of words alr! But still not much space to put pictures..shudnt have put so many pictures.. *regret regret* Ahhhh~ sure kena mark down de.

Watched 2012 with Qi yst~
It is VERYYYY NICEE! Really damn nice.. initially i wasn't looking foward to watching it cos it looks so dark and depressing and i thought tt after watching the world crumble into pieces and the helpless people dying, i'd really feel like I was crumbling under the weight of my projects and exams....>.< But it was nothing like what i imagined! The graphics were Amazingg~~ The scenery was so beautiful even though the earth was going haywire!! It din't feel depressing at all watching the waves swallowing the mountains and the buildings crumbling! In fact it was beautiful and artistic.. it's because the graphics are good k not tt i'm sadistic. And watching families huddling together to face death from the impending tsunami together, was a saddening but beautiful moment. I think if such a disaster really happened and there was no escape.. nothing could be more comforting than facing it together with your loved ones.

The show also made me think about questions like what would people do if such a thing was really gonna happen? Will people save themselves at the cost of others? Who will people save? Should only those considered the 'fittest' survive? Should people have been told the truth about the apocalypse? Would you rather know when the end of the world was coming? I think I'd rather not know until maybe 1 day before it happens.. maybe just have enuf time to meet the people i love and say what I wanna say to them, maybe tell ppl the things i never dared to say so I'd die without regrets.

In the show, the governments kept it from the rest of the world cos there just wasnt enough time to build enough ships to save everybody, so only people who were considered to be able to contribute to humanity were allowed onboard. They even selected animals to be on board the ship! They could fit in so many more people in the ship but they rather save the animals! Ok maybe i'd save a few cows and pigs and chickens so there'd be smth to eat and maybe dogs cos they are cute haha but certainly not giraffes and rhinos!! They take up so much space when they could fit so many more ppl into the ship!

Ok shall stop ranting in case i giveaway the ending.. haha.

Overall the graphics were really amazing and the display of humanity in times of adversity in the show was really heartening, and I really liked this quote, '

When we stop fighting for each other, that's when we lose our humanity'.

Deb and I met Siya at Bugis to have Sakae sushi buffett!!~
Our second timee eating sakae buffet tgt~~ i still vividly rmb the first time~~ XP
We left house without eating breakfast n reached there ard 1 so we had to waste 2 hrs before we cud go for the buffet at 3! So we walked ard n took neoprintssss~~

Siya's first ever church camp!! After so many things to consider n tt happened im so glad in the end she's coming for this camp!! yayyy!!~

We're sharing a room too. Gonna be funnn X))

But i jus fell sick.. having a cold! Nose is running non stop.. body feeling weak. hopefully tml no fever if not kena stopped at customs den siann liao. Pray for me!! =X

wahaha im BACK!!! from Arts pre-camp!!

I enjoyed it really. Somehow the ppl were just v nice to talk to and i cud just mix around easily so yea that was really cool~
The games were alrightt i dun realli like games cos im jus super lost until i watch ppl do it n i jus stink at games so i tryyy to avoid but of cos... most of the ppl have to play.. so... made a fool of myself a couple of times wen i forgot to do smth in the obstacle course.. tripped over.. fell down.. >.< And then all those need guy to piggyback one.. confirm is i kena one lo!! so 'lucky' rite... hahaha.. acty is not i want one la duhh! Is jus that they always sabo the 'small' people to be carried.. which i dun understand whyyy i always kena cos all the girls look like around the same size as me. Acty i always feel v sorry for the guys carrying me they got tricked into thinking im very light. hahah! next time i shud just tell ppl tt acty i weigh 50kg.

The camp was superr taxing tho the night before i only slept 4h cos im too used to sleeping late den had to reach sch at 8.30am... den the sun was super hot even tho the games was in school.. i was still feeling super hot and sweaty.. and we had games all the way till 12am.. meeting at 1am.. supper till 4am. Slept ard 5am n auto wake up at 7am.
It was so taxing that sleeping on the floor was easy.. in fact it was the most comfortable i felt all day. Hahaha i had a pretty good 2h nap thank goodness.
I hardly ate, hardly slept during the camp... hungry but no appetite somehow.

By day 2 i was already brain dead. Went to sentosa for beach games.. everyone gathered at vivo for lunch first. My fren asked me for tissue.. then i was like Oh i have in my bag. Then i was looking everywhere for my bag... wen actually... all of us left our bags in my fren's car cos we drove down to vivo =.=""""""" And i dint realise until my fren reminded me. Cos i was like 'eh.. wheres my bag??' My fren: ' we left it in sheldon's car what' >.<"""" maluuuuuuuuuuu...

The sun was scorching hottt man at sentosa! Totally sucking the life out of me. But it was soooo much better after we all dunked ourselves in the sea! So fun!! hahaha i totally enjoyed water games. shiokk! but its super uncomfortable walking with the sand sticking to ur wet feet.

My thighs are super pain noww... and has been hurting since day 1 i've no idea why!
now my right arm is hurting too. Slept for 13hrs last night to make up for sleep debt hahaha and woke up feeling super tired and immobilised still.. with all the muscle ache. Really expended alot of energy this camp... and its only pre-camp!! Arts camp is gonna be 5 days 4 nights! And we're gonna go even more out.. scream even louder... play even harder!! I dunno how im gonna survive.. 2day 1 night i alr like that.. haha i think before arts camp i better exercise more if not i'll just die from muscle ache and lack of stamina. Hopefully the sun wun be as hot tho! it was a total killerr the weather.. even at night it was so hot i slept in the open without a blanket on.

super nua diao right now.. jus feel like stoning at home. But gotta go out celebrate mom and grandma's bday soon! choww~~ fri prob need to shop for bday presents and sat is michelle's 21st bday party. Then mon gg off for church camp alr. busybusy. chowww!!~

Got this from jermsy and i finished almost everything in 2 days hahah v nice.. and i love seeing the end results of their photoshoots.. their hair.. make up.. clothes.. and their photos are just like.. WOW..

But the first impression she gave me made me scream WEIRDOOO!! Cos she really behaves and talks weird and has those freaky wide eyes O.O~~~~

But grew to like her cos her pictures are stunning! And she's alot stronger than she looks.. she's always shy and doesnt really have alot self esteem but somehow she always rises to the occasion and surpasses peoples expectations of her. Yeap yeap so really support her and its so amazing that sucha meek and frail looking girl can make it to the runner up while all the loud strong and super competitive ones kena kicked out. YEAHH GO ALLISON~

I never realli watched next top model before but after watching it... think u really have to hand it to the models! What i learnt about models is that being pretty and having the model looks doesnt make a good model.. its more about being photogenic.. knowing how to pose in a way that flatters your face and body and bringing out the expressions that photographers want you to show.

going out...bum around at home...

surprisingly i dun feel like a total bummer yet.

hahaha im still enjoying my carefree life!! And ive been fairly packed with activities so im not bored at home all the time all day =D
Have activities planned out this week alr too! wahahaha

Having been doing anyth productive yet i guess? other than... packing my wadrobe!! And after clearing out alot of stuffs we dont wear it still looks pretty packed O.O But i always feel sian of my clothes la irritating. And deb feels the same way too even tho she only wears home clothes like once a week?? And i have to wear them everydayyy u noeee... n i go out all the time too.. imagine how sian i am!
(and having to deal with constant naggings about how low and short my clothes are further frustrates me by limiting my options -its really not low and shortt!!! >.<)

Shall blog wen my activities run out and im bored at home... hmm.. wonder wen will that be! haha i haven even watched finish Hong gil dong yet!! Soon la soon no hurry if not dunno wad else to watch alr! Hee
